We’re now seeking an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor to play a key role in managing the commercial success of our developments. This is an exciting opportunity to join a close-knit, professional team and contribute to projects that truly make a difference to people’s lives.
About the Role
As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you’ll take responsibility for the commercial management of multiple new-build and refurbishment schemes. You’ll oversee cost efficiency, contractual compliance, and procurement while supporting Beechcroft’s commitment to exceptional standards.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Cost & Budget Management – Full ownership of development budgets, tracking costs, and ensuring financial targets are achieved.
- Procurement & Tendering – Managing tender processes and negotiating best-value subcontractor agreements.
- Subcontractor Oversight – Leading pre-start meetings, monitoring performance, and ensuring compliance with contract and health & safety standards.
- Valuations & Reporting – Preparing monthly valuations, processing payments, and producing cost reports (CVRs) for senior management.
- Variation & Risk Management – Identifying, pricing, and reporting variations, while managing risk proactively.
- Final Accounts – Closing out projects with robust cost control and accurate final accounts.
- Collaboration – Working closely with Build, Technical, and Sales teams to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.
About You
We’re looking for someone who combines technical expertise with strong interpersonal skills. As Senior Quantity Surveyor, you will be:
- Experienced – You will bring a proven track record of managing multiple residential projects through the full commercial lifecycle, from procurement to final account.
- Commercially minded - Highly analytical, detail-driven, and confident in financial reporting.
- A strong communicator – Able to build positive working relationships with subcontractors, consultants, and colleagues alike.
- Proactive and solutions-focused – Skilled at anticipating risks, problem-solving, and driving value.
- Organised and resilient – Capable of managing multiple developments simultaneously with accuracy and calm under pressure.
- Professionally qualified – Degree (or equivalent) in Quantity Surveying is preferable; COINS and Doc Hosting experience is advantageous but not essential.
